Validation
The inspiration for "Successful Execution" came from watching a basketball game. Greg noticed how the coach and most of the players glanced at the scoreboard with increasing frequency. They seemed to make decisions about who to play, what play to run and how they would handle their competitor by using their experience and the scoreboard.
We successfully created and used a scorecard process for five years to generate a single number that indicated how well our organization was executing our business strategy.
The Business SCORECARD was created by Greg Petras who founded and served as CEO of five software / SaaS companies and used the SCORECARD methodology successfully for 5 years at two companies .
The most well-known was National Health Enhancement Systems (NHES), a public technology company that was sold to the market leader for $100 million.
National Health was also selected by "Business Week" as one of the Best 100 Public Companies in America with revenues between $10 million and $100 million.
Greg is a patent holder and received an the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award from Ernst & Young and Inc. magazine. The second company sold a white label, SaaS service to media properties that enabled their readers to share word of mouth recommendations.
Greg was a manager with the forerunner of Accenture.
